Backyard Produce Garden Fundraiser
November, 13 2011 - Assist St. Michaels students in establishing their own organic Food Bank Garden at The Backyard Produce Garden Project. The Backyard Produce Garden Project's mission is to have volunteers grow fresh produce for local families in need. Specifically, the proceeds will cover the fencing, hardware cloth (to keep out gophers and the like), organic pest control products, pbc piping, drip line, seeds, worm tea, compost bins, basic garden tools and work gloves. --It is quite literally "seed" money! 100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit
The Backyard Produce Garden Project & St. Michael's Catholic School Gardeners.

April 2, 2011 - Sunshine Care Homes' front parking lot was transformed into "Spring at the Farm" with the help of Poway 4-H who brought their newborn live stock, games, pies, BBQ and more! Volunteer families and their animals show up as earlier as 10:00 a.m. to set-up fencing, shade and more for the 2:00 p.m. event.

Disneyland or Bust!!
September 28, 2010 10 of Sunshine Care's Residents, 10 Volunteers and 4 staff members headed out to Disneyland! Highlights included Disney Trivia and prizes on the bus ride up, a festive lunch at River Belle Terrace, front of the line access to Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, The Tiki Room, It's a Small World, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and a trip down main street to see the Flag Lowering Ceremony and Big Brass Marching Band performance and of course shopping for souvenirs.
